Sending Karelia a Console Log

If you are troubleshooting Sandvox, Karelia may ask you to send a Console Log to help solve the issue. You only need to follow the directions below if we request such information. (Normally when reporting an issue, Sandvox includes a console log automatically, without you needing to add it manually.)

To manually send a Console Log

  1. Open the Console app (found in the Applications → Utilities folder).
  2. You should see the main Console window appear, with the title All Messages
  3. Enter "Sandvox" in the search field in the upper right corner of the window. This will filter the console to show only those messages that mention Sandvox.
  4. Use the File → Save a Copy As... menu item to save the filtered log to your Desktop. You can save it with the name Sandvox, instead of All Messages, if you wish.
  5. Attach the saved log file in an email back Karelia so we may examine the report.

After doing this, feel free to quit the Console application.
