Sandvox on New Mac -old mac unavailable to convert from

I’ve used Sandvox 1.6.8 for the last several years on an old mac running an older version of OS. (10.5 I think)   My old mac had an accident and is un-savable. I installed the new version of sandvox on a new mac book that has Lion. I have backup files from my time machine drive. I’ve tried loading the files into the new version.  The basics of the site are there but it’s a mess.  All the photos are showing up as html documents, not pictures.  I do have the backups of all the jpg and pdf graphics. What am I doing wrong?
thanks for any help.

Re: Sandvox on New Mac -old mac unavailable to convert from

Do you have the original .svxSite document? Sandvox 1.6 used aliases to remember where graphics are stored. Unfortunately I don't think aliases translate across machines. Sandvox 2 moves away from this and copies media into the .sandvox document. Unfortunately you may need to do a little rebuilding of your site. Or are you saying that you tried to convert an old 1.6 .svxSite document with Sandvox 2 into a new .sandvox document? Again, it probably had trouble finding the images since the paths may not be the same across machines. I would contact Karelia Support for further assistance.
