Sandvox 2.1 now available

Sandvox 2.1 is now officially released and is available immediately for download. You can grab it using Check for Updates or download a fresh copy directly from sandvox.com.

We recommend that everyone update to this new version. As always, if you run into problems, please contact Karelia Support directly so that we may address issues as quickly as possible.

Here are the release notes for 2.1:

New Features

• Block Quotes (available to insert directly, or as an option in Text Box Inspector)

• Sandvox is now Lion-compatible

• "Format > Clear Style" menu

• Tagline can be aligned

• On Snow Leopard and later, scaled images match the color space of their source when possible, reducing file size

• Internet Explorer compatibility improvements with HTML escaping

• Placeholder for hidden audio is always visible and selectable

• Facebook button is resizable so can fit all Likes in

• Sandvox now always uses plain text for titles in indexes

• Custom summaries don't necessitate a "Continue Reading" link

• Hyperlink titles when importing table indexes from Sandvox 1 sites

• Addresses an issue where RSS badge callouts could cause archives to generate improperly

• Inserting a Raw HTML object opens the HTML editor

• More lenient validation of Raw HTML for the Web View

Text Editing

• Fixes an issue with text editing stripping out spaces from hyperlinks when it shouldn't

• Improves reliability of deleting images which have "Object causes wrap" turned off

• Addresses an issue undoing editing of captions

Other Bug Fixes

• Improves performance and stability of saving

• Disqus compatibility improvements

• Resolves an issue where adjusting the type of date shown on a page was making it temporarily change alignment

• Improves reliability of pasting objects, particularly into the sidebar

• Resolves an issue deleting pages using contextual menu

• Pages dragged in the Site Navigator to a new location are only added to the site menu if it makes sense

• Resolves an issue where site menu was not wrapping to a second line

• Fixes some bugs related to the page file extension popup

• Corrects preview and publishing of non-image file thumbnails

• Improves Leopard compatibility

• Home page is automatically included in the site menu of new sites

• Cutting a collection always includes all of its descendants, otherwise they're effectively deleted
