Hi Everyone

A new site:
I am a member of a 4WD club in New Zealand, and here is the site I built using the Blueball Shadow Blue design. This site is mainly photo based, there are heaps of images not only of our members trucks, but some wonderful scenic photos of our spectacular part of New Zealand.

Some previous experience with Iweb, but seeing that it's now a goner, I searched the internet thoroughly, and all roads led to Sandvox. A very special thank you to the Sandvox team who answered my questions and help me solve minor problems!

The service from Sandvox in my opinion is fantastic, and should be a careful consideration of anyone looking for this kind of product, there are many companies who 'take the money and run', but not here! All questions are answered promptly and politely with helpful suggestions.

We have been using Sandvox for quite a while now, migrating from the old Frontpage!  Very easy to use and quick turnaround with any issues.

Like your layout and combination of words and photos ...restful to the eye... wanted to read more.  Well done !

This is the site I've just re-built using Sandvox, I know it's a bit 'Plain Jane' , but the purpose is to give information to people who are used to reading text and have a slightly longer attention span than average (i.e. librarians, miniature book collectors etc).

I've been checking out the other sites shown here and I suppose the width can make it look a bit 'templatey' but I like the page of handmade paper (Outside the Lines Blue) because it suits the site (handmade miniature books). I think that's the main design issue, choosing a theme that suits the subject.

My original site was built in Front Page, I changed to a mac and eventually found Sandvox, after struggling long with Dreamweaver. Sandvox is great for someone like me, who doesn't want that steep learning curve, but still wants a nice-looking functional site to showcase their work. Any comments appreciated.

I like it!   Classic and easy to read.   The textures with the blue are very classy.  Well done.   No down-playing it !  :-)    Unusual.   A+

You found a great way to visually organize so much information and make it easy for anyone to click on exactly what they want quickly.

My hats off to you for handling such a complex task.

My only nit is that you have a lot of different types and sizes of fonts.   Maybe you need that struture to help the eye,
I am not graphic designer.

Very well done ~

After overcoming some fear & trepidation, and through an investment of (significant) time, I have finally converted my website to SV2. I also updated and changed my design. The result is that was able to produce a cleaner and more dynamic website using Blueball's Minimal Colors. I'm thrilled with the way it looks. I have also traveled the path many have discussed from hating the work required to make the transition to loving SV2.

I want to also thank Charlie of BB for all the help he provided in my transitioning to his SV2 with his design including giving me some code to correct some things in my file. However, I must say that I am not satisfied with Kuler. I was using their Big Time Design and bought their updated version. They made a number of changes to the design which in my eyes had diminished its attractiveness. I felt they were significant enough that I requested a refund. I believe those changes should have been disclosed to those upgrading the design. I sent an email to them through their website and have heard no response. Compare this to Charlie who responded to my requests within 24 hours. It should also be noted that Blueball provides free upgrades while Kuler does not (I did not have the Minimal colors design and had to purchase it, but it was well worth the price.)

Not bad! The site flows really well. I have one problem with that theme, the stars. It could be so much better without them or having the option to have them. Really nice site though.

Thanks for the comments, I could see where the stars might raise an aesthetic issue. Couldn't argue with the price of the template though(Stars Orange)... not to mention the ease of use of the app. Every time I see my girlfriend struggle with SiteBuilder on Homestead... whew!

And then there's my site, made with a modified version of Skyline:

Will someone paaaaaleaaaaz  answer my question, one of the moderators who works with Sandvox, OR,
one of the third party developers , as to how to leave my site exactly as it ...
but allow me to post wider PDF and wider looking photos ?

That is all I want to change on my website and it will be perfect ...

Thanks ~  fay kelley . com

Re: Got any cool sites built with Sandvox you'd like to share?

Not sure I understand the qustions, but the width of a PDF depends on the Printer setup at the time the PDF is produced (paper size, orientation, etc.); as for photo widths, these can be adjusted eiter by selecting a photo and dragging its resize handles, or by selecting a photo and adjusting its dimensions in the Metrics inspector (looks like a ruler).

It says "Avenger," but I am just a Sandvox user who has been assigned the title of Avenger here in order to be able to delete spam messages. http://davidneale.eu/

Re: Got any cool sites built with Sandvox you'd like to share?

the photos will NOT be made as large as the file is with the drag handles ... They stay at HALF PAGE width and cannot be made larger.

There is nothing about a printer in my question ... Did you look at my web site ... can you READ the pdfs.   Last web site I could make them larger.
