New Version Available Immediately on the Mac App Store
Alameda, Calif., May 4, 2011 - Karelia Software today released iMedia Browser 2.0.1, an update to its popular iMedia Browser utility which adds a familiar "media browser" experience to almost any Mac app, including the highly anticipated upcoming Sandvox 2.
The iMedia Browser 2.0.1 update adds support for iPhoto event skimming, support for the Faces feature in both iPhoto and Aperture, and support for Collection groups in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3. iMedia Browser 2.0.1 is also a maintence release with fixes to reported issues.
Karelia's iMedia Browser is a stand-alone utility to quickly access a user's library of photos, sounds, movies or bookmarks. Rewritten from the ground up, iMedia Browser 2 added a new, searchable Flickr browser and boasts a completely new architecture geared for speed.
iMedia Browser allows fast, seamless browsing of photo libraries (including iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Flickr and Pictures folders); music (iTunes, GarageBand and Music folders); movies (iTunes, iPhoto and Movies folders), and bookmarks (Safari and Firefox). Users can browse items and zoom in with QuickLook, or drag items found into any productivity application. iMedia Browser 2 can be activated either from the dock or from a small icon in the menu bar. iMedia Browser 2 is the standalone app version of the open-source framework that many developers have adapted to use within their applications. iMedia Browser 2 requires 1.6MB and Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later.
