Last week, rumors started circulating that Apple was going to announce a new application called "iWeb." As far as we know, these rumors could be true, and unfortunately, the program may end up being a competitor to Sandvox.
Here at Karelia, we're used to having Apple on our heels — our new logo actually plays homage to that. We didn't really expect lightning to strike twice in the same place! But just in case Apple does release 'iWeb' and it is indeed a website builder, we thought that we should let the Macintosh world see what we've been up to, even if we are not quite ready for a version 1.0 release.
So instead of just putting some screenshots of Sandvox online, as we had originally planned for this week, we have decided to release Sandvox, as a Public Beta, today. It still has a few kinks to work out, but it's close enough to done that we think people will see its potential.
So without further ado, this is your download URL for Sandvox. Please do not share this URL with others.
As we hinted last week, we have a special promotion for members of our email list. We want to get as many Mac users as possible to know about Sandvox, so we have come up with an incentive for you to help us. See the details on our download page, using the link above.
Thanks for all your support. We hope you enjoy using Sandvox as much as we have enjoyed creating it!
